
Brittany Bass
President
Brittany Bass is a proud native of Austin. She has a passion for helping others not only find recovery, but also a life of purpose and meaning. Brittany also holds the belief that healing is not a one way street, that there are multiple facets and ways to get there.
Brittany works for The Last Resort in Smithville, TX, a treatment center for men as their business development representative.
Aside from working and being active in the recovery industry, Brittany is a mom to an active four year old son. Her hobbies include being outdoors—the lake, the beach, or the mountains, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
Brittany is currently working on obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, as movement is a huge part of her own recovery.

David Hutts, M.S.
Past President
David got his start in the recovery industry more than 5 years ago, where he started out as a tech and has done most jobs in the recovery field. David has been in business development for 3 years and currently works for La Hacienda Treatment Center.
He enjoys spending time with friends and his dog, Charley. David enjoys reading, movies and snow skiing.

Bachelor’s Degree, Samford University in Journalism; Master’s Degree, The University of Denver in Advertising.

Chris Quaglino, LCSW, LCDC
Vice President
Chris has made a positive difference in the lives of thousands of At-Risk Youth ages 16 to 30 for over a decade working as the 24/7/365 full time and on-call mental health coordinator for Gary Job Corps. He continues to gain the knowledge and skills needed to assist his clients with substance misuse, mental health issues, goal setting, communication concerns and life aspirations.
Prior to a career in mental health, Chris worked in the high-tech electronics semiconductor industry for over 23 years. This electronics experience enhances his unique ability to combine real-life troubleshooting methods with proven psychotherapeutic treatment skills.
Chris is currently in private practice in Austin, Texas where he is continuing his passion for assisting others in having a great life experience.
EDUCATION:Digital Electronics Certificate from DeVry Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. And a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin (now the Steve Hicks School of Social Work).

Kim Harrison, CPA
Treasurer
Kim began working in the recovery industry two years ago when she accepted the role as CFO with The Last Resort Recovery Center in Smithville, TX. She is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas. Kim started her career as an auditor with Ernst & Young, and has also worked in the Toxicology, Marketing, and Hospitality industries. She feels honored to work in an industry dedicated to improving lives everyday.
Kim is dog and horse lover. Her dogs, Harper and Otis, accompany her to work at The Last Resort every day.

Kyle Withrow
Co-Secretary
Kyle has a strong history of management, marketing and business development over the past 20 years. He has an extensive background in entrepreneurial endeavors and been an investor and founding member in 5 start-ups. He started his work in recovery community in 2014 in Business Development for a National Recovery program.
He currently holds a Business Development position with Rock Spring Behavioral Health Hospital.
He is a husband and father of 2 boys that loves to travel and see the world with his family.
He studied at San Diego State University and holds a BS in Early Childhood Development.

Lawrence
Diversity & Inclusion Chair
Lawrence has worked in the field of Substance Use Disorder since 2018, when he founded Spain Spain Sober Living in Austin as a result of the loss of a loved one due to both Substance Use Disorder and mental illness. After this happened, Lawrence felt empowered to serve this population and to do more for his own community. As the Diversity and Inclusion chair of Austin TAAP, Lawrence is able to connect with folks from various walks of life to help them remember that we have all obstacles to face, and to support them changing their lives for the better.

Leah McIlrath
Membership Chair
Leah McIlrath is the director/owner of Grace Recovery ATX, in Austin Texas. She is a certified peer recovery coach and is in pursuit to become a Licenced Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Leah works daily to help women recover from the disease of addiction, in all areas of their life. Having family roots embedded in alcoholism and addiction, and being a woman in recovery herself, drives her passionate desire to help others find freedom from addiction, and is what led her to this work. At her core, Leah believes that great change is always possible.
Leah is a very grateful mother of four beautiful children, together they live in Austin, Texas.

Chrissy Glenn
Legislative Chair
Chrissy struggled with addiction majority of her youth and into her adult life. After losing her mom to the disease of addiction, she had a spiritual awakening and knew her purpose moving forward was to help guide others to the solution of sobriety. She now has achieved long term sobriety by the grace of God. She is passionate about her role in TAAP because she has seen how members of her family with substance abuse and mental health disorders be treated by our judicial system and wants to change that. Chrissy started her career in Admissions and quickly moved through the ranks to become Director of Business Development at Infinite recovery, where she has been for almost 3 years. When Chrissy is not working, you can find her on the volleyball court or exploring Austin with her boyfriend and pups.

TJ Sachdev
Member at Large
TJ Sachdev entered the behavioral healthcare space with a keen focus and passion to increase access to quality medical and clinical care. She has served on boards as an advocate for women professionals in addiction recovery seeking leadership roles. TJ currently works at Discovery Behavioral Health as a Strategic Relations Manager working to mobilize the healthcare model within organizations and help destigmatize addiction and mental health in the workplace. She received her Bachelor's in Psychology and Human Development from UC Davis and an MBA from Santa Clara University in California.

Angel Landrum, MA, LPC-S, LCDC, MAC
Member at Large
Angel Landrum is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. She graduated from St. Edwards University with her Masters in Arts in Counseling. Angel’s career started in the corporate world after she received her Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. Her experience includes working with substance use disorders and mental health; additionally, she is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and Certified EMDR therapist and works extensively with trauma, anxiety, substance use and eating disorders within this modality.
Giving back to her profession is a passion, whether it’s through her supervision, consultations or volunteering with the Austin Chapter Texas Association of Addiction Professionals. Angel enjoys being outside, especially in a city as amazing as Austin. You will find her and her wife, out on their E-Bikes, riding around downtown Austin and Ladybird Lake.
